Sunday

Sunday - May 31, 2009
We had a great Sunday in Kampala. Our group split into two teams and led several worship services this morning. One group started out at UFC on the campus of Kampala International University at 7 A.M. The service at UFC was an hour early because of the final day of exams. At UFC, Dave preached from 2nd Timothy and two of our other team members, Lindsay Moses and Justin Lance, shared their testimonies. It was a great time of worshiping God with students from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, and Congo. From there, our group traveled to a house church at Kibuli. There was very special time of worship led by some of the members of the church. Our group led the members of the Kibuli church in the song "Our God Saves". Jack Weathers and Laura Beth Scipper gave testimonies and Jimmy Johnston preached. The other half of our team went to a house church at Kawuku. Hal Stewart preached and testimonies were shared by Daylon Williamson and Paige Weathers. Alex Butler and TJ Tolosa led worship at Kawuku. In the afternoon our team met with some of the UFC students for a time of fellowship and discipleship. It was a great time of mingling and we also played games (Simon Says). We split in groups of two and shared about the impact of prayer on our lives. We ended the night at Cafe Roma eating some African pizza. Tomorrow we will be working with UFC students doing evangelism as well as leading some more times of discipleship. Although it is still early, we have had a great time in Uganda. Continue to pray for us as we expect to see God do some incredible things.
